Normally, a big fan of Avanti's...their gondola, pizza bread, garden salad and spaghetti are among my family's favorites. It had been a long time since having their pizza....about 3 years. I remember it being yummy. I was wrong or they changed their recipe. We were having friends over on Thursday night. Ordered a large Avanti's Specialty pizza...several meats, veggies & cheese along with 2 appetizers (cheese curds and toasted ravioli). The appetizers appeared to come from a bag at the local Costco or Sam's Club. No real flavor, overcooked, and incredibly bland. Very disappointing. The pizza was equally uneventful. The crust was overcooked and incredibly dry. You could not eat a slice without drinking some water to aid with swallowing. So disappointed with the lack of taste, the dry texture, and sizable bill! I don't mind paying a premium for a tasty dinner. My husband, 2 adult children and myself all were disgusted and threw away the meal. Do yourself a favor...avoid Avanti's if you want delicious pizza. Go to tried and true locations....Pizza150, Harold's Pizza, Monicals. Avanti's go back to former recipes and use fresh ingredients!

A Peoria classic, the Knoxville location is one of our favorites. The gondolas and pastas are fantastic, and everything is just right. The house Italian salad drsssing is delicious, and fresh baked bread just hits the spot every time! Check the daily specials, they are a fantastic value!

Avanti accommodated our large out of town group so well. The food was delicious, the service was quick, positive and friendly, the room worked well and was very nice. The staff was flexible with our group as it was a last minute booking. Next time we pass through town we will be sure to come back.

We stopped in on a Tuesday night. The special on Tuesdays is all you can eat. They have multiple sauce options, our favorite was the meat sauce. It has a touch of sweetness. The bread is soooo warm and soft and is served before the meal with grass fed butter. We also ordered a gondola. (A sub, with meat, cheese, lettuce, and they brought out mayo which is optional) I personally like to dip the gondola in the meat sauce. I would definitely eat here again. A nice touch in my opinion is the hanging plants, they are real! A great atmosphere.

First time here as we passed through town. Salad was fresh and tasty, really enjoyed the house Italian dressing. My husband is vegetarian. We saw a cheese soup and assumed it would be okay as there was no note mentioning it but turned out to have bacon in it. Server was accommodating and did take it off our ticket. I got an Italian sausage beef deluxe. Menu stated it came with sauce or lettuce and tomato. When I asked the server for the lettuce and tomato she said it would be an upcharge so I chose not to. Food was alright. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice.
